Driven by a passion for community and relationship-building, Sara Powell supports individuals and organizations to succeed in achieving their mission.

Sara provides a refreshingly authentic approach as she takes time to deeply listen, understand, and seek tailored solutions unique to the client’s needs.

Sara was born and raised in the Catskill Mountains of NY, where the foundation was laid for her interest in the outdoor landscape and how it merges with community members. She received a BS in Environmental Science from the University of Vermont and an MS in Environmental Studies from Antioch University. She loves working with communities to grow and strengthen local resiliency through location-based initiatives.

In her role as Program Director for the Hannah Grimes Center for Entrepreneurship, she guides local entrepreneurs, leaders, and innovators by connecting them to resources, education, and the tools they need to learn and grow. She’s responsible for managing the core programming like the Business Incubator Program and developing workshops, seminars, and projects that support business owners in the region. Additionally, Sara works on the consulting arm of the organization, helping other communities to use and adapt the core models that Hannah Grimes has developed over the years.

Sara also serves on the Board of the Cheshire County Conservation District as Supervisor and on the Advisory Committee of the Community Garden Connections Program at Antioch University New England.

Sara lives in Spofford, NH with her husband, her daughter and two dogs.
