As part of its commitment to promote economic development and the well-being of neighborhoods in the communities where People’s United Bank operates, the People’s United Community Foundation, the philanthropic arm of People’s United Bank, has awarded a $7,000 grant to the Hannah Grimes Center.
“The funding will support the Hannah Grimes’ Key Partner program, which provides a stable funding base to grow our business support initiatives,” said Mary Ann Kristiansen, Executive Director, Hannah Grimes Center. “These initiatives deliver a range of programs designed to enhance the success rate of small businesses and nonprofit organizations.”
“People’s United Community Foundation has been a Key Partner program supporter since 2009,” added Kristiansen, “and we are grateful for their continued funding in this unstable economy, when businesses need it the most.”
“We are pleased to continue our support to the Hannah Grimes Center,” said Dianne Mercier, Officer of People’s United Community Foundation and New Hampshire President for People’s United Bank. “A testament to the success of the programs offered by Hannah Grimes is their recent recognition as Business of the Year by Business NH Magazine. We are proud to support the Hannah Grimes Center as they teach, nurture and support local businesses.”
