Leadership refers to an individual’s ability to influence, motivate, and enable others to contribute toward organizational success. Your ability to guide individuals and groups is a significant factor that influences morale, productivity, turnover, and workplace health.

Join us for our second and more advanced, engaging, and practical series of workshops, which builds on our popular introductory Management and Leadership Series. Participants will further build their confidence and toolkit to lead others. This Management & Leadership Series 2.0 covers more in-depth essential knowledge and tools that often need to be directly developed despite advancement into supervisory roles. The online workshops are interactive with time built in for break-out rooms, large group discussions, personal reflections, and practice time for new skills.

Workshop #1: Deep Dive into Culture and Psychological Safety
Culture is a foundational element of a healthy and productive workplace. Establishing a psychologically safe workplace benefits the entire business, decreases turnover, and positively impacts the bottom line. How do we create a psychologically safe environment? We do this by encouraging open communication and employing daring leadership. This workshop explores the ways to use daring leadership to achieve a workplace where people feel acknowledged, encouraged, engaged, and respected, and a workplace that employees want to stay at.

Workshop #2: Accountability Culture: Creating a Framework for Success
This workshop focuses on establishing a culture of accountability, utilizing the steps outlined in the OZ Principle. We aim to shift away from the blame game and foster an environment where everyone takes responsibility. The key steps to accountability are: See It; recognize and acknowledge the reality of a situation. Understanding the current circumstances is the first step toward taking responsibility. Own It: take personal responsibility for the outcomes. This involves accepting your role in the situation and
understanding how your actions contribute to the results. Solve It: develop solutions to overcome challenges. This step requires proactive problem-solving and a commitment to finding effective ways to address issues. Do It: execute the plan and take action.
Following commitments and ensuring that solutions are implemented is crucial to maintaining accountability. By following these steps, we can create a culture where accountability is ingrained in the organization’s fabric, leading to improved performance and a more positive, productive environment.

Workshop #3: The DiSC
The DiSC system provides a valuable framework for understanding and effectively interacting with your supervisees and coworkers, by identifying and adapting to their unique communication styles. By integrating the principles of DiSC, you can enhance your interactions, improve collaboration, and foster a more productive work environment. This approach also incorporates coaching techniques for employee development, emphasizing personalized growth and support.

Workshop #4: Addressing Challenges and Challenging Behaviors
Our focus is on empowering supervisors with effective strategies to address challenging employee behaviors. We will provide tools to manage issues such as defensiveness during constructive feedback and help develop skills for resolving conflicts effectively. This workshop will, in part, be conducted in a workgroup format, so participants are encouraged to come prepared with specific “problem child” scenarios in mind.

Workshop #5: Employee Reviews
How can we engage employees to ensure they take ownership and pride in their roles and work? A comprehensive Performance Management System is an excellent way to engage employees and support them in doing their best work. We will explore the structure of Annual Employee Development Reviews and how to make these reviews holistic, effective, and impactful.
